Earthquakes and transformations. Photography and science on the ridge of 1976 in Friuli
The exhibition of photography arises from the desire to transform the memory into an active and shared memory. The seismic event is interpreted as a “turning point”: not merely a trauma, but a driving force behind change which has reshaped our own landscape, our institutions, the culture of prevention and our scientific knowledge relating to seismic risk. The exhibition will explore not only the Friuli region but will also link together various earthquakes.
The exhibition features four leading figures in contemporary photography: Olivo Barbieri, Marina Caneve, Davide Degano and Giulia Iacolutti.
Tuesday to Sunday, 10.00 – 18.00, until 18 October
